At MELEC, the QA Department serves as a robust fortress for ensuring product quality. Adhering to the principle of "Customer First", it deeply engages in the entire production cycle——from raw material procurement to after-sales service, delivering reliable products and services to customers through professional expertise and a rigorous approach.
This high-caliber team of 25 professionals has expanded beyond the original Inspection Team to include an Improvement Team, along with newly appointed PQE and SQE engineers, further refining the quality control process. Quality oversight spans the entire production cycle: incoming inspection, process inspection, finished product inspection, and outgoing inspection. Complementing its existing CNAS-accredited testing equipment, the department has added advanced instruments this year—including a profilometer, roughness tester, and friction coefficient analyzer—with a total investment of approximately 1.5 million yuan, solidifying its technical foundation for precise testing.

To enhance quality risk awareness, the QADepartment has developed a cutting-edge QMS (Quality Management System). By inputting inspection and test data, the system generates an integrated BI dashboard for each project assessment, enabling systematic and standardized quality data management. This facilitates multi-dimensional analysis while eliminating errors from manual statistics through standardized processes.

In the after-sales phase, the QA Department takes the lead in handling customer complaints, leveraging professional tools like the 8D Analysis Method to identify root causes.  For instance, one customer reported discrepancies in shipment quantities. The investigation revealed that the issue primarily occurred with small-sized components like cable lugs and connectors. It was traced back to inconsistent weight estimation by production line packers and inaccurate manual counting during assembly. The Department addressed this by introducing an electronic counting machine, achieving over 99% counting accuracy—boosting customer satisfaction and optimizing labor efficiency.

Looking ahead to 2026, the QA Department plans to implement 6 Sigma quality management training. This initiative aims to reduce defect rates and costs of cable accessories across the entire production chain (from raw materials to finished products), optimize process efficiency, establish a standardized management framework, and enable multi-dimensional automated data analysis. Operationally, it will deeply integrate quality management processes with the companys ERP traceability system to achieve real-time collection, analysis, and sharing of quality data.

In the future, the QA Department will continue to refine its management system, deepen cross-departmental collaboration, and strengthen full-chain quality control. It will also increase investment in intelligent testing equipment and quality management software to drive the transformation of quality management toward intelligence and automation. Simultaneously, efforts will be made to enhance team members’ quality awareness and innovation capabilities, building a more professional and efficient quality management team. These steps will ensure the excellence of MELEC’s products, helping the company earn lasting trust and recognition in the market.
